The Cell Chiller Ri is substitute for a 10# bag of ice. In the U.S. every year, 32.5 Million pounds of single use plastic ice bags go into the landfills, oceans, rivers, and lakes, or otherwise harming the environment. Thats about 2 BILLION BAGS! A small fraction gets recycled :-(

Packaged ice is frozen, purified drinking water and regulated as a food.  A 10 # bag of ice has 1.2 gallons of purified water that is usually wasted. Multiply this times the 2 billion bags we use every year in the U.S., it's over 2 BILLION gallons of purified drinking water wasted.
